  • Maïté RELECOM


    Maïté Relecom took over UNIBRA’s reins in 1994, after the tragic death of her husband, Michel Relecom, founder of UNIBRA. Maïté has defined the company strategy for 15 years and through several European and African crises.
    Organised, disciplined and a visionary, Maïté is a UNIBRA shareholder. She has held the position of chairwoman since 2014 and has entrusted executive control of the company to her son, Thibault.
    Maïté, who can rely on 40 years spent in Africa, is UNIBRA’s best ambassador.

  • Thibault RELECOM

    Chief Executive Officer

    Thibault Relecom belongs to the seventh generation of brewers in the family and is UNIBRA’s main shareholder. Born in the United States, he grew up in the Democratic Republic of Congo and has studied in the United Kingdom, Spain, Argentina and Switzerland. Thibault has worked for many years in Switzerland before settling in Belgium in 2008. Thibault has a good understanding of various cultures and runs an extensive international network. Before joining the family business, Thibault has successfully participated in the foundation, management and sale of a company in the real estate and hotel industry in Switzerland. Thibault is a relentless and ambitious worker, who surrounds himself with talented individuals and who closely monitors internal processes. Thibault holds an international BA and a Master’s degree in hotel management.

  • Marjolein BEYNSBERGER

    General Counsel

    Marjolein is general counsel and member of UNIBRA’s executive committee. She is a key player in the development of the Unibra group’s brewing and real estate business and supports its investing activities. Besides her legal expertise, Marjolein also has a solid tax and corporate finance background.

    Before joining the Unibra group Marjolein has worked as a lawyer at the Brussels Bar for a leading Belgian law firm, where she mainly practised corporate law, with a focus on M&A, private equity investments, company reorganisations, capital operations, setting up of management structures, etc. but equally provided general corporate advice and assistance in litigations to all types of companies. She has also developed an extensive practice in large infrastructure projects, PPP and complex industrial projects. She has earned a law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL) and, in addition, also holds a Master’s in corporate and tax law (KUB/KUL). She recently also completed a postgraduate corporate finance programme at KUL.

  • Renaud BLAVIER

    Chief Financial Officer

    Renaud Blavier is chief financial officer and member of Unibra’s executive committee. He is in charge of financial reporting as well as management audits and is a key partner in the development of activities of the two entities. After having earned his master’s degree in economics (FUCaM), Renaud Blavier has worked as a senior auditor at Ernst & Young, in Brussels and as the group’s management controller at Imerys.

  • David SYENAVE

    Head of Real Estate

    David Syenave manages Unibra’s activities in the real estate sector. After having earned a Master’s degree in management, sales and real estate management (KU Leuven), David has worked in the United Kingdom, in the Netherlands, in Luxembourg and in Belgium for several construction and property development companies. Since his arrival in 2014, the group has made a name for itself in the property development sector and has successfully implemented its geographic diversification in Luxembourg.
    Today, David is in charge of the company’s property portfolio and real estate projects.

  • Thomas Hochreiter

    Head of Brewery

    Thomas manages Unibra’s activities in the beverage sector. He joined Unibra in 2015, as chief operating officer. He holds a Master’s degree in engineering management (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology – Germany) as well as a Master’s of science degree in industrial engineering (University of Florida, United States). Before joining the group, Thomas has worked for Siemens AG, BMW AG (Munich) and as a member of the executive management team at Namibia Breweries Limited (Heineken and Ohlthaver & List).
    Today, Thomas is in charge of the group’s brewing business.
